Caroline Sidi, Paris, France, "Merci beaucoup!!!  Thank you for all your energy, hard work, humor, good mood, and concern.  These have been two wonderful weeks, well beyond my expectations.  I look forward to putting into practice all we have learned.  It was great meeting everyone and having time to get to know them both in, and outside of, the classroom.  I look forward to seeing you on the road."

Elisabeth Cole, USA writes, "This course was a great opportunity for all of us.  The opportunity to have this course on a cruise ship adds an element of travel that I think was much better than only sitting in a classroom.  I loved being able to meet with individual people over dinner as well as our shore days.  There was a very welcoming atmosphere and I soon felt competent in this job whereas I felt insecure before coming."
Yvette Squire, Birmingham, UK writes,  "Thank you for the most enjoyable, unique course I have every attended.  Enjoyable in the sense that though it was quite tough trying to study and have a holiday at the same time, but you guys made this possible in how the programme was designed.  You also made it humorous and serious at the same time with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, you also made yourselves available to address any problems we had, the balance was perfect!  Now it was unique in the fact that I had never seen a course on a cruise ship and this is why I chose this course.
The program was "taught" in such a way that it didn't feel like lessons and there was plenty of room for student interaction. You also made our guests feel welcome and included them where you could and my mom is really appreciative of this.
The organization of the whole thing from pre course, embarkation, course while cruising, right through to leaving the group at New Orleans airport was great. If their were any problems we certainly didn't see them.
You are doing a great job for the travel and tourism industry, keep up the great work you do.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this fantastic learning opportunity."

Kristen Lawrence, writes, "I just wanted to drop off a note to you to express my gratitude for all of the encouragement, kindness and superb instruction I received during the Tour Director course and cruise.  I also appreciated the small class size, which helped to create a more nurturing and family-like setting.  Thank you for being so personable.... I believe Tour Directing is the field which is custom made for me.  I feel privileged to have been a student and graduate of IGA.  Here's to the beginning of more exciting adventures."

There are 9 full days of class (6 for Tour Director, 3 for Tour Guide) while we are at sea, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending 5:30 p.m. They are conducted in a private meeting room. Outside of classroom hours you are free to participate in all ship activities. Please note: you will be spending some time in individual and small groups for study and preparation as well as four hours on a motorcoach upon leaving the ship in Orlando.  Many of the assignments can be completed prior to the start of the cruise program. Of course, all meals, entertainment, in-port excursions, etc. are available to the students and guests.

There is no single supplement charge when you are willing to share a cabin.   Students willing to share will be assigned a student roommate. Two (2) students per cabin is the norm.  The Certification/Cruise program(s) offered by the International Guide Academy has always been popular with single travelers because of the congenial atmosphere of our small group and the caring, professional services of our instructors throughout your entire journey.  You can, of course, choose to pay the single supplement and not share the cabin. Should you have sleeping habits or other planned activities that would interfere with the enjoyment of the cruise, or interfere with the ability of your cabin mate to complete the certification program in a satisfactory manner, it is your responsibility to bring this concern to our attention prior to your enrollment.

You can choose either a berth in a balcony cabin or ocean view cabin.  Our prices are shown as per person and includes taxes and port charges of US$107.25.

The berth price for you as a student is at, or below, NCL prices.  You may share a cabin with a guest of yours and their price is only slightly higher.

Balcony (BA) US$1221.37   These are midship, Deck 12, and include the dining package and the internet package.

Balcony (B1)  US$1291.37   These are Aft-Facing Balcony Staterooms on Decks 11, 12, & 13 and include the dining and internet packages.

Interior US$881.37   These are on Deck 9 and include the 4 nights dining package.

A 3rd person can be added to most cabins for only US$630.00.
