Steve Knapp, “Such an amazing journey… On such a short trip! My experience during the International Guide Academy’s Tour Director class aboard the NCL Dawn was nothing short of Life-Changing! Not only did your instructors teach us all the mechanics of managing any tour… But more importantly, even as you highlighted your distinct differences, each of you modeled for us exactly “who” a Tour Manager really is! Each one is different, but all are amazing!
Words can not describe the amazing growth that I both witnessed and experienced in a mere two weeks time. For me, I found MY passion! For the rest of my life I could never ask for more than the opportunity to help others experience and appreciate the joy in their life. Could there be anything better than getting paid to help someone have the best time of their life? Two weeks ago I could only imagine being an International Tour Director. Today… I can’t imagine being anything else! With the greatest of admiration, respect and gratitude I would like to thank you all for helping guide me along this path of amazing growth and opportunity!”
Now is the time to experience an amazing cruise while earning your Tour Director Certification. Your 2020 International Tour Director Certification Program is scheduled for October 9 – 24 October 2020. (15 days, 14 night cruise) while aboard the Norwegian Joy. Classes on the ship are conducted only during the days you are at sea. You have no classes while in any of the ports-of-call. The cruise begins Los Angeles (San Pedro) and ends in Miami.
There are 7 full days of class while we are at sea, beginning at 07:30 a.m. and ending 18:00 p.m. They are conducted in a private meeting room. Outside of classroom hours you are free to participate in all ship activities.
Please note: You will be spending some time in individual and small groups for study and preparation as well as four to five hours on a motor coach upon leaving the ship in Miami. Many of the assignments can be completed prior to the start of the cruise program. Of course, all meals, entertainment, ports-of-call, etc. are available to the students and guests.
*Solo Travelers: You are in luck! No mandatory single supplements. We provide free roommate matching – unless, of course, you would prefer a single cabin which you can purchase.
Students willing to share will be assigned a student roommate. Two (2) students per cabin is the norm. The Certification/Cruise program(s) offered by the International Guide Academy has always been popular with single travelers because of the congenial atmosphere of our small group and the caring, professional services of our instructors throughout your entire journey. You can, of course, choose to pay the single supplement and not share the cabin. Should you have sleeping habits or other planned activities that would interfere with the enjoyment of the cruise, or interfere with the ability of your cabin mate to complete the certification program in a satisfactory manner, it is your responsibility to bring this concern to our attention prior to your enrollment.
Your Embarkation: Friday 9 October 2020. You need to be on board the ship no later than two hours prior to scheduled sailing time.
