The International Guide Academy (IGA) has been in business since 1973. No other school of this type has been in business that long.
Locations: IGA has held classes in the South Pacific, Asia, Europe, and North America. In 2019 and 2020, classes are offered in Denver, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, and on board a NCL Ship (2019 NCL Dawn, 2020 NCL Joy)
IGA has a strong working relationship with hundreds of Tour Operators, Destination Management Companies, Sight-Seeing companies, Event Planners, Cruise lines, as well as with industry leaders. Some hiring companies prefer to hire only IGA graduates and others give IGA grads preference in being hired.
Instructors are all graduates of IGA and are actively working in the areas they instruct. They bring their domestic and international experiences to the classroom and are recognized experts in their field.
Cost: IGA has the lowest tuition cost. The Tour Director Program cost is $1795.00 which includes registration, tuition, textbook and all materials. The Tour Guide Program is $895.00. Take both for $2395.00. You can take one of the programs or both. Your choice.
You will find that, with another school, you are forced to take both programs and the cost is over $4,000.
